Spring 2026 Newsletter
Dear CSN Friends,
Spring is a season of renewal. A reminder that growth happens when the right support is in place at the right time.
At CSN, we see this every day. When people receive early, compassionate support at pivotal moments, they are better able to stabilize, heal, and move forward.
Whether someone is navigating a housing crisis, a behavioral health challenge, or a major life transition, timely support can change the direction of what comes next.
Thank you for being part of this work and for helping make new beginnings possible.
With deep appreciation,
Tom Bieri
Executive Director

From Surviving to Thriving
When “Nina” came to CSN, her life felt chaotic and uncertain. After years in foster care and couch surfing, she had never truly experienced safety.
At Sanctuary Villas, CSN’s permanent supportive housing for transitional age youth, things began to change.
“My life was messy before,” she shares. “I was a constantly angry, out-of-control kid.”
“I’ve learned how to be an actual adult here. Housing like this changed my life.”
With stable housing and consistent, trauma-informed support, Nina began building the skills many young people take for granted. She learned how to manage her emotions, resolve conflict, get her driver’s license, and find a job.
“I’ve learned how to be an actual adult here,” she says. “Housing like this can change somebody’s life. It changed mine.”
Because of you, young adults at pivotal moments gain the stability, skills, and support they need to step confidently into adulthood.
Community in Action

CSN’s Moms & Littles Drive collected essential items to help seven new and expecting mothers feel safe and supported as they welcomed and cared for their newborns and young children.
For one mom who gave birth in December, this support also meant moving into a fully furnished apartment, removing a major barrier to stability at a critical time. CSN’s dedicated supporter, Jackie Crook, spearheaded this drive, and her generous $100,000 gift will continue to support more moms and their little ones as this program grows.
Thank you, Jackie, and the entire CSN community for making this support possible.

Because of You, This Family is Safe
When support arrives at the right moment

“Sarah” was doing everything she could to protect her two young children, but she was running out of options.
A newly single, working mother, she did not learn until it was almost too late that her ex had not paid rent for six months. Through no fault of her own, Sarah and her children were at risk of losing their home.
CSN stepped in at a critical moment and helped the family move into a safer, more affordable apartment where they can remain stably housed. CSN also provided financial assistance and connected the family to therapy, medical care, and essential dental services.
When support arrives at the right time, families stay housed and begin to heal. Your generosity makes this possible.
